A friend of mine has had fun with my recording of a poem by Thomas Hood for the Poem of the Week podcast in the Inner Sanctum of this site. He has set my reciting of the poem to a rap beat, making my rendition sound like rap. It’s the first time I have been accused of being a rapper! Considering the true poetic quality of the lyrics, I think we should consider this the beginning of a new genre called classic rap. My friend has called this recording “Thomas in the Hood”.
